Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Remraf Pet Services. By booking any of our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

These terms ensure the safety and well-being of your pet(s) while using our services.

A meet and greet may be required before services begin. This allows us to get to know you, your pet, and their individual needs.

We reserve the right to decline services if we believe we are not the right fit for your pet.


2. Services Provided

Remraf Pet Services offers:

  • Dog walking (solo, single household)
  • In-home pet sitting
  • Puppy and cat visits
  • Overnight stays


3. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure your pet is fit, healthy, and up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments.
  • Inform us of any behavioural issues, medical conditions, or special requirements.
  • Provide all necessary pet supplies (food, medications, lead, harness, litter, etc.).
  • Ensure home access is arranged (keys, lock codes, or alternative access).
  • Accept responsibility for any damage caused by your pet to property, people, or other animals.


4. Bookings & Cancellations

4.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by Remraf Pet Services.
  • Regular bookings (e.g., weekly dog walks) may be reserved for ongoing clients.
  • Last-minute bookings are subject to availability.


4.2 Cancellations & Refunds

  • Any cancellations made with less than 2 full days of the scheduled service are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Cancellations made with more than 2 full days notice may be eligible for a refund, minus a £5 administrative fee.
  • If we need to cancel a service due to an emergency on our end, we will provide a full refund or reschedule where possible.


4.3 Rescheduling

  • Bookings may be rescheduled if at least 2 full days notice is provided before the scheduled start time.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  • If a suitable alternative time cannot be arranged, the original booking terms, including the cancellation policy, will apply.


5. Payments

  • Payment must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late payments may incur a £5 per day late fee.
  • Continued non-payment may result in future services being suspended until outstanding balances are cleared.


6. Key Handling & Home Security

  • Keys may be retained for regular clients or returned upon request.
  • We take all reasonable measures to secure your home and will not share keys or access codes with third parties.
  • We are not responsible for any break-ins or damages unrelated to our services.


7. Liability & Insurance

  • We hold public liability insurance, but pet owners remain responsible for their pet’s behaviour.
  • We are not liable for injury, illness, or loss of pets due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., sudden illness, accidents).
  • If veterinary attention is needed, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. If unavailable, we will take the pet to your registered vet or the nearest available vet. Any veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility.


8. Owner Responsibility for Damage

  • If your pet damages any property belonging to Remraf Pet Services (e.g., leads, harnesses, crates, beds, or other equipment), you are responsible for replacing or reimbursing us for the cost of the damaged item.
  • If your pet causes damage to third-party property or injures another animal/person while in our care, you are responsible for any associated costs.


9. Aggressive or Unmanageable Pets

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a pet displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour.
  • If a pet becomes unmanageable during a service, we will contact the owner to discuss alternative arrangements.
  • Failure to disclose relevant behavioural history, including previous incidents of aggression, biting, or reactivity, may result in the immediate suspension or termination of services without refund.


10. Extreme Weather & Emergency Situations

  • In extreme weather conditions (e.g., storms, heatwaves, snow), dog walks may be modified for safety (shortened or replaced with enrichment activities).
  • In case of emergencies, we will contact you or your emergency contact.


10.1 Hot Weather Walking Policy (Temporary Summer Policy)

During periods of extreme hot weather, walks may be rescheduled to an earlier morning or later evening time where possible. 

Rescheduling is subject to availability, and we will contact you regarding your individual request. If this is not suitable, we may instead offer a home or garden toilet break, enrichment visit, or garden play session in place of the walk.

If you choose to cancel due to hot weather, a minimum of 1 full days notice is required.

Cancellations made with less than 1 full days notice will be charged in full in accordance with our standard cancellation policy.

If an alternative walk time or replacement service is offered and declined, the booking fee will be charged as normal. 

When deciding if it is safe to walk, we will consider factors including the outdoor temperature, humidity, time of day, availability of shade and water and your dogs breed, age, health and individual needs. 

As a general guideline, when temperatures reach 25°C (77°F) or above, we may cancel the walk or replace it with a shorter walk in shaded areas, a garden play session, or another suitable alternative. We reserve the right to shorten, amend, reschedule or replace any walk where, in our professional judgement, weather conditions could compromise the health, safety or welfare of the dogs in our care.


11. Photography & Marketing

  • We may take photos of your pet during services for marketing purposes (e.g., social media).
  • If you do not wish for your pet’s photos to be used, please inform us in writing.


12. Acceptance of Terms

  • By booking and using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. 
  • Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
